Starfish Story
One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean. Approaching the boy, he asked, what are you doing? The youth replied, throwing starfish back into the ocean. The sun is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die. Son, the man said, there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish. You can’t possibly make a difference! After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said I made a difference for that one!
Choose to make a difference
We believe God has chosen One Step In Faith to stand in the gap and “make a difference” in the lives of “starfish” children who are caught in circumstances not of their own making. The trafficked, at-risk, and spirit children who we are currently seeking out to help have no one to come to their defense! They are not even aware of life other than the one they live, in bondage.
OSIF is looking for more “star throwers” who will come along side of us, ordinary people, in prayer and financial support because they also want to bring hope of a better future to these innocent children. One person helping another, helping another, will “make a difference,” one child at a time. Please consider partnering with us in prayer today. Ask God what he would want you to do to help.
